Bad Week? Give Yourself a Break
Good morning, Rebels!
Grab your coffee and enjoy.

Some weeks are a struggle.
Bad news, sickness, frustration, and depression - these will all throw a big wrench in your progress and motivation.
And that’s okay.
Not every day will be perfect, so give yourself permission to take a night (or a week) off. Rest. Recover. Reengage.
Don’t pause too long and lose the great habits you’ve formed. But give yourself a break.
Then pick it all back up again.
And if you’re still not feeling like your energetic self, then take a small step to continue your progress and take another break.
This week was a rough one for me. Nothing I could control, but still not news and conversations that I felt good about - I actually felt terrible afterward.
But I’m letting myself process it, taking a break from pushing myself too much in other areas, and reassessing where my priorities are (and they’re not in the direction of the news this week anyway…).
The perspective of my goals, why I feel I struggled this week, and what I can do about it going forward is already giving me renewed energy to chase my passion projects.
I’m using it to fuel the fire inside of me - and life will be even better than if I didn’t have this shitty week.
Motivation is finicky, so go with the flow. Let yourself be okay with an off week. This is life - and as much as we want to control all aspects of it (and our own reactions to it) - sometimes it sucks.
Save this email as a reminder for when you have a rough week.
And if you had one this past week like me, take a break this weekend - Monday and a fresh start are right around the corner.
