Travel is not always glamorous.
There are amazing aspects of travel - new experiences, sights, and food - but there are also frustrations - crowds, cancelations, and lost luggage.
So how do you get the most out of a trip? Focus on the individual moment.
For example, if you’re alone at an alpine lake, watching the sunrise, no one is around you, soak it in.
Later when you decide to go back to the same lake to have lunch, there will be 20 cars, packed crowds, and annoying tourists telling you how to park.
That’s part of travel and part of the experience.
Focus on your memories of the sunrise.
Remember how perfect it was and how you felt at that moment. Those are the memories you’ll take away and allow you to forget the crowds and frustrations later in the day.
Do not take those magical moments for granted.
When you find that moment of perfection, stay in it as long as possible. The day could get better, but it could get worse…and you’ve found the travel magic right now.
