Remember to Pivot When You Hit an Obstacle

Good morning 9-5 Rebels!

Grab your coffee and enjoy.

You want to have a plan.

You want everything to go according to your expectations.

But that’s not reality.

A good plan is required to get the most out of life - to not live a wasted life.

But something (or someone) will get in the way and stop you in your tracks.

When that happens, pivot.

Don’t let doubt, lack of forward motion, or obstacles stop you from living intentionally.

My example is this week, where I planned to continue my goal of a weekly email about living intentionally and using your 9-5 job to reach your goals.

But I’m traveling.

And I’m having so much fun - and I’m so exhausted - that I haven’t completed my goal.

So I’m pivoting, and reminding you to do the same.

I’m still writing (my main goal).

I’m still sending out this email (my secondary goal).

I know it’s not up to my personal standards, but it’s forward motion - while I’m enjoying life.

And I hope you do the same.

Don’t let a missed day, week, or month of meeting your goals stop you from making progress.

Mix it up to keep your energy high.

Try another format or method to accomplish your same ultimate goal.

And if it’s been a while, start again…you only have to answer to yourself.

When you run into something or someone that derails you this week, remind yourself that pivoting is part of the plan…and you’re ready.
